About us

Chris, born in Kastri, Greece, was the youngest of seven children. From an early age, he cherished the moments his busy family came together, bonding over meals. This deep-rooted love for food and its ability to unite people became a guiding force in his life.

At just 13 years old, Chris emigrated to Chicago, Illinois, chasing the American dream. To make ends meet, he began working as a busboy. Over time, his dedication and work ethic led him to a position as a server, to chef, to manager where he discovered his passion for hospitality and connecting with people through food.

With a vision of recreating the familial bonds he experienced during meals in Greece, Chris set out to build a restaurant of his own. In 1978, his dream became a reality when he opened his first establishment. From that moment, his journey as a restaurateur began—a legacy of bringing families together through the joy of sharing meals. The rest, as they say, is history.
